Duncan Vessey,
Head of Housing at Cross Keys Homes, said of the scheme, "It’s
win win, not only do new tenants get an excellent customer service
in the assistance the scheme provides in obtaining their utility
supplies, but the landlord gets a funding chest to invest back into
communities". |

PCL
Energy Services (PCL-E) is an energy service that
has been designed to help residents reduce their fuel bills.
It is a partnership with 19 Housing Associations and Local Authorities. It was set up over six years ago,
initially as the fenESS scheme and then as Anglia Energy
Services. It has recently expanded to offer its services over the
whole of the UK, under a new company, PECT Consultancy Ltd (PCL). It provides
easy access to cheaper gas and electricity, improved services and quality for social landlords
to help tenants when moving into their new homes.
As part of the service offered to its members, we will arrange for
your properties' gas and electricity to be supplied at competitive
rates by our energy partner, Scottish and Southern Energy Group. As
well as providing cheaper gas and electricity, PCL-E also
provides a range of additional services, all aimed at reducing the
amount of money your tenants spend on energy and helping them reduce their energy consumption.
This is also achieved via the PCL Energy Advice line and through attendance at community
events and forums.
Additionally PCL-E also provide insulation grants and approved
installers via its
Home Insulation Scheme. New services including
Energy Performance Certificates (EPC's) are also available via PCL. |
